This is a completely modern, all new kitchen featuring granite countertops, Aristokraft solid cherry cabinets and stainless steel Kitchen Aid appliances. The room measures 18'x14'.

This island offers lots of preparation space and fun lighting for any task!The oven features a gas cooktop with an electric oven for the ultimate in cooking convenience. The microwave includes a hood and also functions as a convection oven. There is also a stunning, copper colored tile backsplash to add some interest.

There is also a large, double doored pantry with swing out shelves that can hold lots of food! And the fridge has double upper refrigeration doors and a lower freezer section. There is also a cold water filter system with ice built in.

The kitchen sink is also interesting with the large farm basin and stainless steel faucet. There is also an instant hot water spout and a nice, ultra quiet dishwasher.

Dining Room

The dining room is another large, open space. The dimensions are 16'x16' with a large bay window and a nice bar area with a large countertop space.
The dining room leads right into the kitchen, again making this a perfect house for entertaining.

Yard, Exterior, Location

This home sits on a large corner lot. All along the South side of the house (on 12th) there is a custom 6' privacy fence.

The lot size is nearly 6,000 square feet, and the only neighbor (to the North) also has a large lot with their house on the opposite side of the lot. This may not sound special, but in this neighborhood, it is nice to have real space between your house and the neighbors.

The yard has two major areas, one on the side that would be great for a garden.

And one in the back that has plenty of space for either a nice grass area or other customer finish.

The house sits on the corner of 12th and Adams and is in a great location if you want to walk to one of the three nearby coffee shops, Pappa's grocery store, ACE hardware, the pharmacy, or any of the vibrant night life and restaurants on Colfax. Just one mile north of Cherry Creek, you can also get to world class shopping in either a 20 minute walk or a 5 minute drive. Downtown Denver is also just a few miles away with quick access including the city bus.

Finished Basement

The basement is 1120 square feet finished and would make either a great extra living space, or a perfect mother-in-law apartment. In addition to the laundry hookups, there is also another bathroom and a small kitchen, with sink and oven with range. There is also a small refrigerator that can stay if desired. There are two bedrooms in the basement, one of them is seen here with the second fireplace.

The stairs to get to the basement are also Brazilian Teak. There is a door to the outside with a landing half way downstairs that can be accessed from the side of the house.

The ceilings in the basement are surprisingly high for this old house. They are about 7'6" tall. All of the fixtures are new as is the carpet, paint and baseboards.

Living Room

The open floor plan of this home makes it perfect for entertaining. Perhaps the best part of the living room is the working fireplace with built-in bookshelves. The exposed brick wall adds to the classic charm of this oversized room. The room dimensions are 18'x16' and the room flows right into the dining room.The paint is all new, as are the windows over the fireplace. Again, the floor is new solid 3/4" thick, 3" wide Brazilian Teak.

Laundry Room

In most Congress Park homes, the laundry room is in the dark basement. Since the renovation included a major overhaul of the upstairs plumbing systems, I decided to add an upstairs laundry area. Quiet, efficient washer and dryer stay, if desired. There is a second hook up for washer and dryer in the basement as well.

Master Bathroom

Originally, the house did not have a master bedroom / bathroom combination. What was once the third (middle) bedroom is now the master bathroom. It is 9'x12'.

The best feature is the walk-in jetter shower! There are two jets on each side of the shower with a raining shower overhead. The minimal glass required to keep the water in makes the shower feel huge (it is 5'x5').
There is also a large claw foot tub, which replicates the original character of a turn of the century house, but with all new modern plumbing.

The vanity with dual sinks has lots of storage and is perfect for spreading out.

There is also a toilet behind a privacy wall, making this a complete, perfect 5 piece master bath.

Also, notice the italian porcelin floor and wall tiles. The 10' ceilings also continue through the bathroom, making this one of the nicest rooms in the house!

Master Bedroom

Originally, the house had three bedrooms on the main floor, each abou 12'x12'. Two of the bedrooms were combined to form the master bedroom and master bathroom.

The master bedroom is now 12'x15', which is a great size in these old houses. It has a customized walk-in closet that is 5'x5' with shelving, rods and lots of room for storage. The closet is not included in the 12'x15' dimension for the room.

The floor is Brazilian Teak, which is a beautiful, natural colored wood. The walls are a cool blue and the light fixture overhead was selected specifically for this room.
